Upon checking in and getting into our room we discovered the toilet wouldn't flush. Called the front desk to report and the only man that seemed to be working told me to come down to the front desk and get a plunger. There is a ton more I can write about but that sums up the hotel right there.
Dirty carpet Broken shower tile ongoing building renovation Building exterior dirty and in need of paint Green pool Toilet not stable on bath floor
Great location. An easy walk to downtown restaurants. Reasonable to walk elsewhere. Great price. I've paid three times as much elsewhere in Santa Rosa for the same weekend (Levi Leipheimer's huge bicycle event.) Outside appearance was not inviting at first but apparently they were in the midst of a lot of painting and repairing. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Downtown location is pretty noisy with traffic, sirens, and loud people on street. Pool was too green for me to want to use it.
I have stayed in thousands of hotels and this is definitely one of the poorest maintained properties I've ever seen. It's obvious that the owner/manager does not care about this building or the guests that stay. So many problems, it's too time consuming to mention. The place is horrible and was overpriced because of the weekend events in the area. It was by no means my first choice, but I had to reserve something, so I assumed that Travelodge flag would at least be adequate. Someone from that chain needs to take a close look at this facility. I would have been far better off at a Motel 6. Just terrible!
Not only was the room clean and well-appointed, but for a budget hotel, the staff was remarkably accommodating to special requests (late check- out) and giving directions. Thanks so much! I'll definitely be staying there again whenever I'm visiting the Wine Country. ~SteveT
It's close proximity to downtown was a plus
Although they are in the midst of a remodel, there is still much work that needs to be done. The rooms do need to be updated and are worn.
There were no amenities in the room. The motel is in the worst repair I have ever seen. There was not even coffee at 7:45 in the morning. There were two groups of people having a loud party downstairs and the staff did nothing to quiet them down. This place should be closed down by Travlodge as a discrace. In all this is 10 in my list of the top 10 do not ever stay here again!!!
I had a room that the drapes didn't close all tje way and so draped a sheet over the area that was not covered. Manager offered to move rooms the second night but that was not convenient for me. I was there for work and left at 6am Saturday and didn't return until 1:00am. Too king if a day to switch rooms.
Good location, low price
In-room safe was locked; asked twice for help and got none.
I tried to check out at 0515 but, there was no one at desk and no one answered the bell. Had to leave room key and leave without reciept. Now I need to track down itmized bill for expense accounting. Not happy!
Room was ok and everything was like expected. And a place to have breakfast was nearby with a 10% discount.
We had to change our room just after we had got there and spread our stuff around. And the bathroom was a bit dirty – but what can you expect with this price?
Great location, clean room, good value for the money.
Close to freeway 101 exit
Located in questionable neighborhood - elevator not working making it hard to lug suitcases up to 3rd floor room - not enough room in parking lot for all cars, needed to park in adjacent restaurant parking lot
Holes in bathroom walls, peeling paint, no elevator, disgusting breakfast, few and thin towels
I am about as positive as a human being can be this hotel is a home for either "drugs or crack/meth" persons or both! The whole place bleeds illegal goings on...by way of but not limited to; smell, sight, sound. We witnessed way to much in just a matter of one hour to say, "there is no way in hell am I staying here". Without an exaggeration we wondered if we would survive a night & chose to leave instead of finding out. Horrible experience...didn't like one thing other than the kind & understanding hotel clerk.
